History of October party

The banker and cavalry major Andreas von Dall'Armi transmitted the suggestion in King Max I. Joseph of Bavaria - this was immediately a fire and flame. The name for this "meadow" was taken over, by the way, at that time from the bride princess Therese. A year later all were united one the party should take place furthermore. Year after year thereupon the Wiesn took place as in private financed arrangements, until 1819. The town fathers of Munich took charge of the thing. Since then the October party every year and without exception was celebrated. In 1850 became the Oktoberfest a new symbol the Statue Bavaria and a part of the fame hall opens that year.
